fragments

Now turning to rubble, families once called these dwellings home. Fragments of memories held within the crumbling walls; all waiting to be documented and remembered once more. Past homes and sanctuaries sit forgotten while new construction is built on every corner. Even though they are now empty; there is a beautiful sense of history that remains from the items left behind. I made it my job to seek out these abandoned homes and document the decaying beauty that they hold before it withers to dust; decomposing to the bare bones.

In these images I want to convey the sense of compassion for the people who used to live their lives here and raise their children under the now collapsing roof and evoke a sense of nostalgia. These places now deemed unusable, were once homes filled with love and laughter which are now being consumed by time and neglect.
